A lente Sigma DC 50-100mm f/1.8 HSM ART para Canon é uma lente telefoto de design especialmente rápido, combinando versatilidade com ótica avançada. Com uma abertura brilhante de f/1.8, ela oferece desempenho consistente com pouca luz em toda a faixa de zoom.

O design óptico incorpora uma série de elementos de baixa dispersão e alto índice de refração, que ajudam a obter alta clareza e nitidez suprimindo várias aberrações, franjas de cores e distorções.
O HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) integrado, juntamente com um sistema de focagem interno, executa um autofoco rápido e silencioso, que é complementado por um algoritmo AF otimizado para produzir um desempenho de focagem mais suave.
Esta lente foi projetada para câmeras Canon EF-mount no formato APS-C e fornece uma faixa de distância focal equivalente a 80-160mm.
