A lente Nikon AF-S 28mm f/1.8G combina um campo de visão amplo e confortável com um design relativamente compacto. Esta lente grande angular fixa flexível possui uma abertura máxima brilhante de f/1.8 que se destaca em condições de iluminação difíceis e também permite controlar a profundidade de campo para isolar assuntos. O design óptico inclui um par de elementos asféricos para ajudar a eliminar a distorção e a aberração esférica, garantindo alta resolução, iluminação uniforme e reprodução precisa. O Silent Wave Motor oferece desempenho de foco automático rápido, silencioso e preciso, juntamente com substituição de foco manual em tempo integral. Esta lente grande angular de 28 mm foi projetada para câmeras F-mount no formato FX; no entanto, também pode ser usado com modelos DX onde fornece uma distância focal equivalente a 42mm.
